We are the area's most comprehensive watercraft outfitter offering a full line of kayak rentals, canoe rentals, and paddle board rentals, as well as accessory rentals. We proudly rent Old Town kayaks and canoes, and Red Paddle Co paddle boards.

We are also the area's ONLY outfitter that will bring the adventure to you! We offer delivery and pick up services for our boats to anywhere in the surrounding area. Where to go

The Black River was dammed up many years ago creating a series of 4 lakes running along VT Route 100 between Ludlow and the intersection of VT Route 4. These lakes, in order from Ludlow north, are Lake Pauline, Lake Rescue, Echo Lake and Amherst Lake. Lastly, Lake Ninevah is in Mount Holly, just north of town about 10 miles.

Here's a little about each of the lakes...

Lake Pauline is a small, narrow, very calm lake great for the beginning paddler. It has a beautiful shore line filled with lake cottages and docks.
Lake Rescue is a very popular lake, much larger than Lake Pauline, with an amazing shore lined with magnificent lake homes. Rescue does allow motorized boats.
Echo Lake is larger than Pauline, but smaller than Rescue and also allows motorized boats. Camp Plymouth State Park, a really nice day use area with a beach and picnic facilities, is located on Echo lake.
Amherst Lake* is mid sized among the lakes here and is a little less traveled. Amherst doesn't have as many lake homes so the shoreline is a more natural.
Lake Ninevah is the most scenic of the lakes, but has a very small access area and parking area. Approximately as large as Lake Rescue, Ninevah's shore line is large and picturesque. The lake is protected under a land trust and hosts views of the backside of Okemo.

*Amherst Lake is undergoing dam work and may have low water levels. Check before heading that way.
